Homemade Basil Pesto Sauce

Ingredients :
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup of lemon and lime juice
4 cloves garlic, peeled head of garlic
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup of olive oil or extra virgin olive oil
3 cups fresh basil leaves washed or dried, and packed
1/4 cup of Toasted Pine nuts optional Walnut

Directions :
1. Gather 10 or more stems of fresh basil. Clean and dry the basil. Make sure the basil leaves are fully dry to prevent from spoiling. Remove the leaves that are black. You need 3 bowls of the basil. Or you can use store bought dried basil.

2. On a skewer, place 4 garlic cloves and grill them on the fire. Or if you don’t have time you don't have to grill the garlic cloves and just use them raw. In a pan, saute 1/4th cup pine nuts. Then after grate 1 cup Parmesan cheese. Or you can buy already grated Parmesan cheese.

3. Prepare the sauce: In a mixer, place the pine nuts, minced garlic, basil leaves. Start mixing it and then add in olive oil slowly. Then continue to grind. Add salt and pepper to taste. Then add Parmesan cheese. Mix until the pest sauce is.

4. After making the sauce, place the sauce in a jar and place into the refrigerator. You can use it on pasta, bread, sandwiches, salads, marinate for chicken or meats. You can make the basil sauce thin or thick to match your dishes.

Feelings after eating  :
This Italian pesto sauce is made with fresh basil and smells delicious. You can use it on bread or pastas. You can also grow your own basil and use it for the sauce.  You can save this sauce for three months. Place in the refrigerator or you can also use it in freezer. When you place it in the freezer just melt it when you want to use it. I hope you try to make this delicious sauce. My children love to each this sauce on  sandwiches
